A Third Doesn’t Know the Basics

More than a third of the adult population
in EU lacks the basic computer knowledge. This is what the result of a study
is showing done by EU recently (between April and June last year).

Sweden and Denmark scored best where 90% of the population in ages between 16 and 74
showed good enough knowledge.
Greece
was the worst with only 35%.

We’ll see if the government will act on this to increase the basic knowledge to
be able to A) keep up with member countries of EU B) be more competitive
against US and
Asia [I doubt though that these regions would score better..? Would be
interesting to see how they would score on the same test].

Sweden scored 90%? Then it really is against the odds that we got a teacher that knows absoltuely nothing about computers at our school, and does EVERYTHING by paper.

He drives me crazy. AHHH!
